The Congregation of St. Joseph Sports Camp is a locally popular day camp for children from ages 9 to 14.  

The Sports Camp boasts of a glorious tradition going back to the 70’s.

 

The Camp is located on the beautiful grounds of the St. Leonard Youth Retreat Center in Avon, OH.

 

The Camp is supervised and run by members and staff of the Congregation of St. Joseph. Selected high school and college counselors assist in leading the children. 

Most campers are Catholic, but non-Catholic children are welcome.

 

There are, at present, 2 weeks of Boys Camp and 2 weeks of Girls Camp. All sessions, so far, are scheduled in the month of June.

 

Both Boys and Girls camps run from Monday to Friday.

 

The Boys Camps begin at 9:30 AM and end at 3:00 PM.

 

The Girls Camp begins at 10:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM.

 

On the Thursday of each week, Camp begins regularly at 9:30 AM or 10:00 AM, but ends at approximately 8:30 PM.

 

Campers bring their own lunch and drinks, as well as their own equipment.

 

Transportation to and from Camp is the responsibility of the Campers’ families.

 

Organized ports include: soccer (everyday!), basketball (Monday), baseball (Tuesday), football (Wednesday), volleyball (Thursday).

 

Other competitive games include tournaments of tetherball, “killer ball”, and Olympics or special games on Thursday.

 

Daily activities include fussball, ping-pong, hiking, swimming, boating, and reflection times.

 

Camp fee is $60.00 per week per person.
